Although the Archeer A320 is not the best sounding Bluetooth speaker I’ve tested, it is still among my favorite because of the friendly design and powerful sound. I’m really glad that they continue developing the product and now we have a new version, the Archeer A320S. How is it improved over the predecessor? Let’s find out in the review.
Unboxing & Sound Test
Design & Features
There is not much to talk about the design since it looks exactly the same as the older version. The only difference is that the bamboo exterior on this one is slightly darker, so it’s quite difficult to distinguish the two speakers. On the front, we have a nice bamboo piece housing a powerful subwoofer and 2 tweeters. The rest of the speaker is covered in skin-friendly rewind fabric, it feels really great when touching the speaker.
All buttons are placed on top of the speaker, you can find the power, play/pause, volume up/down buttons along with a notification light here.
There are some imperfections in the build quality but the product looks good overall. The speaker can be charged with any USB charger. An important upgrade is that the battery has a capacity of 8,800mAh, as compared to 5,200mAh on the old version. Therefore, the battery life is longer and I could use the speaker for more than 15 hours on a single charge.
Another new feature is the built-in microphone. This is not really useful but it comes handy sometimes when you need to receive hands-free phone calls.
Audio Quality
I expected the audio quality could be improved but Archeer uses exactly the same drivers on the A320S. Therefore, we still have a very powerful and bassy sound. The sound is a little too boomy for my taste and lacks details in the mids. However, when I played this speaker to some other people, they were quite surprised and entertained with the V-shaped sound.
Obviously, when comparing the A320S to other Bluetooth speakers in the sub-$100 market, it is still sitting on top. The speaker can be a little muddy in my apartment but you will have a different experience when using it outdoors. It’s quite difficult to find such a powerful speaker in the low price range. I guess the sound signature would be also more balanced when using in large houses.
Another new feature of the A320S is the True Wireless Stereo feature which allows pairing two speakers to create a stereo system. To enable this feature, you will need to buy two A320S speakers, pair your smartphone with the first one, pressing Volume- and Volume+ buttons at the same time on each speaker until you see the lights flash fast and turn to solid blue. You will know the setup is successful after hearing a prompt tone.
Conclusion
Pros
- Powerful sound
- Eco-friendly materials
- Longer battery life
Cons
- Boomy sound
- More expensive than old version
Overall, the Archeel A320S is almost the same speaker as the A320. If you don’t need the bigger battery or the new stereo setup, you totally can buy the previous version to save some money. At the moment of writing this review, the A320S is priced $30 higher.

Me gustaría saber, que altavoz suena mejor que este. Pero que no cueste 500 Euros, claro, como un Sonos, por ejemplo.

Mine has stopped working after 10 months. Does not charge any more. Banggood do not want to replace. Waste of money.
