Unboxing Video
Features & Performance
The AUKEY hub has a very compact design and I am very impressed with its build quality. Its exterior is made of aluminum with a dark gray finish, so it matches my MacBook perfectly. It looks and feels like an official Apple’s product.
The hub has two USB-A 3.1 ports, an HDMI port, a micro SD card slot, and an SD card slot.
I tested the USB-C hub to transfer videos from a Transcend Class 10 UHS-3 SD card but the speed was incredibly slow. Then I used the Blackmagic Disk Speed Test to measure the reading and writing speeds; The results were disappointing and the speeds are the slowest among all USB-C hubs I’ve ever tested. It is so slow that the hub becomes unusable.
The AUKEY USB-C hub is a nice product but the transferring speeds are too slow. Therefore, we don’t recommend it at the moment.
