Bang & Olufsen has been well-known as a luxurious brand producing complete line of audio and video products. Their products are the combination between high quality and gorgeous design. However, they are the dream of most consumers because the prices are always higher than other competitors. You can imagine it is like the iPhone in audio and video world.
Recently, Bang & Olufsen has made some changes in their new products. And it is easy to realize that they are trying to target more consumers as the prices are much more affordable than before. Bang & Olufsen BeoLab 14 is one of their newest effort in the campaign this year.
Bang & Olufsen BeoLab 14 is the new surround sound speaker system combining great sound, beautiful design and flexible placement options. The system is light and small but it still can produce rich sound that could make you surprised.
I’m very impressed with the stylish and compact set of satellites and subwoofer. It would be an awesome complement decoration for your living room. What is great about this system is that it doesn’t require a B&O TV. If your TV doesn’t have a built-in surround sound module, you will still need an external A/V receiver to connect to the BeoLab 14.
The set includes 6 active speakers and each of them comes with a separate amplifiers. The sculptural 8-inch subwoofer is center of the system with 280 watts of dedicated power and down-facing driver. From here, it will connect to five active satellite speakers, each with 140 watt amplifiers and separate equalizers. Besides, we also see a Digital Signal Processor, Adaptive Bass Linearisation, room adaptation switch, line sense, Power Link connections for Bang & Olufsen components, and an A/V multi-connector for other components.
The whole system could create an amazing sound for your living room. It comes in two versions for you to choose, the one with subwoofer and four satellite speakers for Bang & Olufsen TVs and the other with subwoofer and five satellite speakers for all other brands.
“Providing simple integration for people who do not own one of our TVs but still want to enjoy a true Bang & Olufsen sound experience has been a particular focus for our development team,” explains Bang & Olufsen CEO Tue Mantoni. “BeoLab 14 connects seamlessly to all Bang & Olufsen televisions, but it also lifts any other TV or AV receiver into a whole new level of sound performance.”

The BeoLab 14 has many choices of placements, you can use the standard wall brackets or celling brackets, table and floor stands. After you connect the system to your TV, there will be a very visual guide to set up and calibrate the surround speakers for the best experience. The room adaptation switch will help you easily optimize the BeoLab 14 for different environments.
The BeoLab 14 surround sound speaker system is now available worldwide at Bang & Olufsen stores and its price sits in the middle at €2995.
