I was excited when receiving the Comfyer Petrel cordless vacuum for review. However, the excitement didn’t last long. Let’s find out why.
Unboxing & Testing Video
Design & Performance
The Comfyer Petrel can be considered a Dyson clone as it looks so similar to some old Dyson models. In fact, I was quite impressed with the design and build quality of this cheap vacuum. The only missing featurea are the lack of a HEPA filter and a mini motorized tool to clean upholstery. Unfortunately, I figured out its issue as soon as I started testing it.
There are two operation modes and when I turned it to High, the suction power is higher but the battery is drained out after 5 minutes. The next time I used the vacuum, I used it in the Normal mode but the battery is just slightly better at around 9 minutes. That means I barely could vacuum my whole apartment in one cleaning session. Moreover, that was the last time I could turn on the Petrel. The battery has died after 2 days and the manufacturer also confirmed the issue. That’s the reason why they discontinued this product.
Therefore, if you happen to see it on sale somewhere, you should avoid it at all cost.
