If you are a traveling blogger like me, you are probably looking for a more portable workstation. I can see the redundancy when I always have to carry a smartphone, a tablet and a Macbook in all my trips. The iClever foldable keyboard has a tri-folding design that you can fold the 2 sides into the center part. The design is very well implemented, so I really enjoy the feeling of taking the keyboard out and opening it to start working.
The top part is made of plastic while the bottom part or the exterior after folding the keyboard is made of aluminum. Those are not the highest-quality materials but you won’t be disappointed when holding the keyboard either.
The iClever keyboard is a little smaller than the keyboard on my Macbook, it’s because there is less space between keys. However, the great thing is that it can be folded to half of the size, you even can put it in your pocket. What’s better than carrying a workstation with you all the time? The recent smartphones and tablets are powerful enough for all my needs, I prefer working on a phablet because it has a bigger screen. That means now I can leave my laptop and tablet at home during your journeys, all you need is a smartphone and the foldable keyboard which can fit in your pocket.
It’s easy to pair the keyboard with an Android or iOS device via Bluetooth, and of course, it will remember your device the next time you unfold the keyboard, so you can start typing immediately.
The whole blog post was typed on this iClever keyboard and I can tell its performance is amazing. The Bluetooth connection is consistent and battery life is great as well. I’ve used the keyboard for more than 2 weeks and it hasn’t died yet. According to the specs, it could last up to 64 hours of continuous use.
The only problem I had is that the keyboard doesn’t sit flat on the table because of the uneven bottom. Therefore, you can hear some noises, especially when you press on keys on the 2 sides. It doesn’t affect my typing experience but I still hope iClever can fix it in the next generation.
