According to the very recent update, there has been an image leaked for the budget iPhone which shows quite amazing piece of the whole puzzle. The picture shows a number of retail boxes with iPhone 5 written on each and Apple logo on one side.
The image shows a number of plastic retail boxes with an Apple iPhone 5C logo as mentioned before. It is rumored that Apple might be using the C to indicate the low cost version of its smartphone as compared to the next full priced version. There has been news that the premium or full priced version will be called the Apple iPhone 5S. Other rumors are that the C could stand for the different colors because the iPhone will be available in many colors.
When closely looked at the image, the plastic packaging looks like the one for iPod touch. The fifth generation Apple iPod touch is sold in similar plastic container and covered with a transparent top. The latest news is that the Apple iPhone 5C and 5S, both will be introduced by Apple on September 18th and the actual launch will take place on the 27th September. The iPhone 5C will be allegedly be similar to the iPhone 5 but there will be a plastic shell and other key parts of the device would also be made of the plastic to keep the cost low. The phone is expected to help Apple compete in emerging markets with low-cost handsets like the Nokia Lumia 520.
A leaked image earlier this month on a site showed that the plastic iPhone will be available in two models, both of which look the same. However both will feature different hardware and will come in at different price points.
According to the rumor, the plastic budget iPhone will be unveiled and officially announced on the September 6th. There are other rumors which contradict the same date. But it makes sense since the iPhone 5 was released on September 12th last year. What do you think will be the release date of the new, so called iPhone 5C? Will you pre order one for yourself on the first day when it comes out? Leave us comments down below and share your views with us.
