I’ve been testing the Levoit air purifier for a month and I can understand why people love the product. It has a reasonable price tag of less than $150 and you can save some more after applying a coupon code. This is simply an air purifying without any gimmick, so you don’t have to pay more for features that you’ll never use.

The unit is not too heavy as it weighs just about 11 lbs and you can easily carry it to any room. It can cover an area of 332 square feet or 30 square meters.

The purifier has a very simple design. The most important parts are the two filters with a 3-stage filtration system. The first filter features fine preliminary filter and a true HEPA filter right behind; they preliminary filter will remove bacteria, pet dander, mold, and fungi while the HEPA filter will trap 99.97% of dust, allergens, bacteria, and particles as small as 0.3 microns. Next, the air will pass through the activated carbon filter which will remove odor like cigarette smoke or cooking smells.

All of the filters are replaceable and you can buy the set for just $29.

All control buttons are placed on top of the Levoit, here you can find the power button, display, sleep mode, auto mode, fan speed, and timer. The product is very easy to use, I will just power it on and change to the auto mode; Then, the purifier will detect air quality and adjust the fan speed automatically. Make sure you remove the black foam tape outside of the air quality sensor. Notice that the sensor can’t detect smells, so you will need to adjust fan speed manually when you have smoke or cooking smells in your room.

I leave the purifier on 24/7 and it runs smoothly and silently most of the time. The purifier’s noise is very quiet as compared to my fan’s.

The manufacturer said that the filter’s life could last up to 6 months. In my case, I had to get a replacement filter after just 3 months; This is understandable since it is powered on all the time.
