2014 is a very successful year of Bluetooth speakers as they are well adopted and become a must-have accessory for many smartphone and tablet users. The speaker we are going to review in this article is the LuguLake BT-10 Portable Bluetooth Speaker with viewing cradle, let’s check it out.
Unboxing and Sound Testing Video
Design and Features
Inside the box, the Lugalake speaker comes with just a 3.5mm audio cable and a USB cable. A wall adapter is not included, so I have to use my phone charger most of the time. The speaker is tube-shaped with two driver heading to two sides and a viewing cradle to hold your smartphone or tablet. The cradle will fit most devices like your phones or bigger iPads. My review unit comes in coffee color, you can also buy it in silver.
Pairing the speaker with your mobile device is quite easy, you just turn it on and there are voice alerts to guide you. The speaker will notify you when it is turned on, pairing or connected. Unfortunately, there is no pairing button, so if you want to pair it with another device, you will need to disconnect the previous one.
Another issue of the speaker is its battery. Its battery life is not bad, I could use the speaker for over 6 hours at moderate volume level, however, charging the battery takes around 5-6 hours.
Audio Quality
There is nothing special about the sound coming from this LuguLake BT-10. It is absolutely better than the built-in speaker on your tablet, but it is worse than many Bluetooth speakers at this low price range like the Logitech X300 or JBL Clip.
This speaker has two 3W drivers heading to two sides, but they can’t help provide a better listening experience. The sound is loud enough and has just a little distortion when I crank up the volume, but this is a flat sound and you won’t be able to feel any bass sound. The mids are clear and present, so this speaker is more suitable if you use it to watch movie or news.
Conclusion
Pros
- Clean and lightweight design
- Clear mids with little distortion.
- Loud volume level.
Cons
- Long charging time.
- Sound lacks of depth and richness.
The LuguLake BT-10 Bluetooth speaker is available on Amazon for $39. This is an acceptable product but I won’t recommend it because you can find almost the same speaker such as the iLuv iSP245 for just $22.
