If you are following my reviews, you probably see that I’ve reviewed tons of Bluetooth speakers. However, none of them could be as small as the Omaker W4N mini Bluetooth speaker. Let’s see if this is a good or junk product.
Unboxing & Sound Test
Design & Features
In terms of features, there is nothing special about the Omaker speaker. The most prominent feature is its compact size. I tried some compact speakers like the JBL Clip, however, all of them are still significantly bigger than the Omaker W4N. Specifically, it measures 2.01″ x 1.89″ x 1.89″.
It has a durable design with a ABS plastic enclosure, it is said to withstand drops from up to 3 meters. There are just a power button and a micro-USB charging port on the body. Inside the box, you can also find a carabiner and a carrying bag.
The battery life of the speaker is quite good as it can play music for more than 10 hours.
Audio Quality
I didn’t expect much from the tiny speaker because it is equipped with a 3W driver only. However, after testing it for a few hours, I must say that the sound is incredible.
The driver faces upward but the mids are still very clear and the volume level can easily fill my room. And even when I crank up the volume, I can hear just a little distortion.
I’m also surprised with the amount of bass coming from this speaker. Notice that the speaker might move around when you play bass-heavy tracks. The soundstage is another aspect that amazed me, I truly can’t believe the small cube can produce such a wide stereo imaging. It doesn’t sound boxy as many bigger Bluetooth speakers.
Conclusion
Pros
- Low price
- Super portable design
- Good sound
Cons
- None
Overall, the Omaker W4N is an easy recommendation if you’re looking for a portable speaker to use in small spaces. It sounds really good and you will be surprised with its capabilities.
