Samsung finally announced the Galaxy S4 mini on their official blog with 4.3 inch display. We have seen, written and read so many rumors about this device and this news seems as if it has lost its shine. But this time, it is for real and we have an official Galaxy S4 mini coming.
Final Specs of the Galaxy S4 mini
Enough with the rumored specs and fake hardware details, let’s talk serious. The new Samsung Galaxy S4 mini will pack a full qHD 4.3 inch display. The phone is powered by 1.7 GHz dual core processor with 1.5 GB RAM. We are expecting the processor to be Snapdragon 400. However, internal storage is only limited to 8GB this time and it might kill some people but there is also expandable storage option as well in the form of microSD card slot up to 64GB.
On the connectivity side, the phone has the 3G capabilities, a dual sim 3G model as well. Bluetooth 4.0 is also present in the device along with dual band Wi-Fi. The phone will be available in two colors white frost and black mist. But we think that Samsung will release it in more colors after launching it just like it did with the Galaxy S4.
Obviously, many of the design features of the Galaxy S4 mini are inherited from the elder brother, but the real changes are in the screen size and hardware specs. The phone carries a rear 8 MP camera and 1.9 MP front facing camera. The phone will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, so this also eliminates the rumors that the device will have the latest Android 4.2.3 Jelly Bean update. The battery of the phone is a whooping 1900 mAh. Phone comes in two variants – with LTE and without LTE. The phone weighs roughly around 107g and is about 25% lighter than the full sized Galaxy S4.
The phone is expected to be shown to public at the 20 June event. Right now, no details about the availability or the pricing were given but we will see it at the event which is roughly 3 weeks away.
