Sanus AFV48B Three-shelf TV Stand Review

By Tuan Do

If your home entertainment system has an AVR or an amplifier like the Yamaha A-S501 that I’m using, you might find out that you can’t fit them to most TV stands on the market because they are fairly bulky. The shelves of my previous TV stand have the same problem and I had to use a separate shelf for the Playstation and amplifier. The setup looked really messy and fortunately, I found out the the Sanus AFV48B Three-shelf TV Stand which could organize all of my devices in a tidy way.

The Sanus stand is super easy to assemble. The instructions were clear, and the parts were well-labeled, allowing me to put it together in less than an hour without any major issues. Basically, I just needed to tighten the posts and kept stacking shelves on top. The stand feels very stable, with solid construction that provides peace of mind when supporting heavier electronics.

I am very impressed with the TV stand, especially with its generous shelf spacing. The shelves are deep enough to comfortably house my amplifier, while still leaving enough room for ventilation. This is crucial for ensuring that my electronics don’t overheat. The open design of the Sanus not only promotes airflow but also makes it easy to connect cables and keep them neatly organized thanks to the built-in cable management system.

Aesthetically, the Sanus AFV48B looks good with black wood shelves and a sturdy steel frame. It is capable of supporting TVs weighing up to 200 lbs. I put my 65-inch LG TV on it and it feels fairly sturdy. The overall weight capacity of the whole stand is 600 lbs.

Overall, I’m very pleased with the Sanus TV stand. It offers the right balance of functionality and durability at a very affordable price of over $100. I highly recommend the product.
