I’ve tested numerous air purifiers in the past year and there is little difference among them, apart from the design. The new Sensibo Pure really stands out of the crowd with its advanced features. Let’s check it out.

Features & Performance
Sensibo is not new name in the industry of smart home appliances. A few years ago, I tested the Sensibo Sky and was really impressed with the small gadget. I connected it to my air conditioner and immediately turned it into a smart one. It allowed me to use voice control to turn on/off and adjust temperature with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and Siri; I could also use the app the monitor temperature, humidity, and set schedule for the air conditioner.
The new Sensibo Pure is a stand-alone air purifier with built-in smart features, so you don’t need to buy any other accessory to make it smart. The design of this product is similar to most air purifiers on the market. We have a control panel and LED light on the front, air outlet on top, and a filter which can be removed from the base.
Sensibo Pure uses the popular 3-layer filtration system including a pre-filter, a HEPA filter, and an activated-carbon filter. The filters can remove harmful substances from the air, including viruses, pollen, fine dust, bacteria, and particles as small as 0.1 micron. Besides, the carbon filter can trap odor molecules, formaldehyde, gas, etc. It is recommended to replace the filter every 6 months.
You can use buttons on the front to adjust fan speed, set timer, or change LED light brightness. It has an Auto mode to adjust the fan speed automatically depending on indoor air quality. The air purifier is equipped with a basic air quality sensor and the color of the LED light will indicate the current air quality. You will see the fan speed turn to high when the LED light is red.
To have full control of the Sensibo Pure, you should set it up with the Sensibo app. Then, you will be able to control the air purifier with your smartphone, set schedule, and add it to Google Home, Amazon Alexa, or Apple HomeKit. I can use my voice to power on/off and adjust the fan speed flawlessly. Noticeably, you can enable Pure Boost if you also use the Sensibo Sky for your air conditioner; In this case, it will use both the Sensibo Pure’s fan and the air conditioner’s fan to increase air circulation and boost the air purifying process when the air quality becomes unhealthy in your room.
The Sensibo Pure is designed for rooms of up to 173 ft2 (16 m2) but with Pure Boost enabled, it can work for rooms up to 294ft² (27 m2). I really like this air purifier and its price of $129 is pretty much the same as many non-smart air purifiers on the market. At the moment, I haven’t seen any info on pricing of the replacement filter yet.
