A humidifier is a must-have device in our house during the season, not just because it is cold and dry in the winter but also because it is even drier indoors. If you are living in areas with temperatures falling below freezing point like my place, you will absolutely have to turn on the heat system throughout your house. Therefore, it is normal to see the humidity go under 30%. That would lead to dry skin, chapped lips, and many respiratory ailments.

The humidifier is designed for large rooms but it has a fairly small footprint, so you can easily place it on a table or in a corner of your room. Basically, the device includes 3 parts which are the base, a water tank, and a nozzle on top. I really love the water tank as it has a large capacity of 6 liters (1.59 gallons) which can provide up to 60 hours of continuous mist for rooms up to 40 square meters (430 square feet). Besides, when you need to refill the tank, you just need to lift it up and place under a faucet. The flat top surface and wide opening make the cleaning and refilling processes much easier.
Another advantage of the humidifier is the built-in night light. I use the humidifier in my kid’s room and the light is not too bright to keep them awake. There is a knob on the front that allow us to adjust the mist, I often set it at nearly maximum when the humidity falls to around 30%. In my test, it takes just around 30-60 minutes to increase the humidity to 45%-47%. The humidity can’t be higher probably because the heat system is working in my house.
The only problem I had is that some water spills out when I fill the water and place the water tank onto the base. I am very careful all the time but water still spills out all the time, even when I already empty the remaining water in the base. Although the product is water-resistant, I still feel a little unsafe and always have to clean the water after replacing the water tank. A few days ago, my humidifier suddenly stopped working and that’s because there is too much water in the base, so I’d recommend you to empty the base as well.
Overall, the TaoTronics TT-AH025 is a good ultrasonic mist humidifier and it is working really well in my house during the past month. However, if they could fix the spilling issue, it would be a much easier recommendation.
