A couple of weeks ago, I did a review on the Case Logic SLRC-205 SLR camera sling. That was a great camera case but I found it a little bulky to carry around, especially when you don’t bring additional lenses.
Many newbie photographers could feel a little uncomfortable wearing camera sling. It is understandable, therefore, I will review a more compact and lightweight camera case from another well-known brand. That is the Vanguard BIIN 47 camera backpack. Thanks Lovecases for providing this camera case for review.
In fact, I was underwhelmed by the overall design of the Vanguard BIIN 47 case because it doesn’t look as great as what I saw on product images. However, my opinion has changed dramatically after using it in the last few days. Now, I can recommend you this case as the best mid-size camera backpack. Take a look at the Vanguard backpack:
Vanguard BIIN 47 backpack has a compact design, but its storage space is optimized so well that you can carry all you need for a whole day taking photos. You have a main compartment which is big enough to hold a camera with attached lenses and an extra lenses on top. There are two ways you can reach the main compartment. You can open it with zippers on the front or on the side of this backpack. I found it so easy to open it from the left side of this backpack, it takes me less than 3 seconds to get the camera out.
There is an extra compartment on top to keep your accessories such as batteries, charger, memory cards, etc.
Besides, there are also 2 very useful pockets that you will find helpful. Those are the front pocket to keep your lens cap and the water bottle pocket on the right side. Everything you need could be carried easily and comfortably.
The case provides good pads to protect your camera and you probably don’t have to worry about your camera in case of light rain. It is not water proof but I see the materials could resist water significantly. I tried to pour a glass of water on the case and the case material did not absorb water at all.
In general, this is a perfect mid-size backpack and very suitable for amateur photographers. You probably wouldn’t love it at first sight but you will see it so convenient by time.
