When you find that your blog hits a rut in viewers, it can be bad for bloggers who aren’t prepared. For those who aren’t, they can find their blog becoming victim to this dip in viewers or content. This can make the blogger feel less confident about their work and blog. However, there are many ways to reenergize their blog. It can be in the form involving social media and more. Today, we will reveal five great tips that will help you get out of the viewership dip and regain the loss audience.
Utilize Social Networking
The best way to garner back your audience is to share your posts regularly. When a new post is created, have it automatically pinged to Twitter and Facebook. Twitter utilizes hashtags, this makes for easier discovery of articles based on the searched subject. In the end, this can create a new viewer for your blog. In addition, if a new development in the news can relate to a post you previously wrote about, share it on Twitter. This is great because there is a revived interest in that subject due to it being in the news. Lastly, if you aren’t on new social networking websites, join them. Even if you can’t see yourself having a personal page on the said social networking website, it’s a great idea to have your website join what could be the “next best thing”.
Time to Subscribe
Many websites have a subscription feature allowing you to know when a new post is published. This is a feature I highly recommend looking into. Different website hosting sites have different ways of providing this feature, however, once you know how to set it up, it shouldn’t take very long to implement it on your website. With a subscription tool, your viewers will see in their inboxes about new posts, which in the end makes them more interested in the posts you create.
Revive Popular Posts
If you’re website had a very popular post, then chances are, it came with a ton of comments. If you find this to be the case, look at some of those comments and see what your audience is saying. From there, create a post based on what your audience wants to see. If you had a post that included a roundup of travel applications for example, some users may recommend more apps for the list. Other comments may include individuals interested in a review before purchase. This can give you a good amount of article ideas to work with for your next couple of articles on your website.
Hold a Giveaway
Everyone loves to win free stuff. If you have free stuff to give, make it into a giveaway or contest. This is the best tactic for garnering new viewers to your blog. Yes, while most may be interested in the giveaway itself, others may find this as a great way of being exposed to new good content. A giveaway is almost always followed by a period where these new viewers do leave the blog, however, a majority of bloggers are almost always left with a sizable amount that stay after views and visitors level out. This will be your “profit” of viewers in the end, if it’s large enough, that will signal a successful giveaway in the end. It doesn’t always have to be a giveaway for something that costs you a dime, many times, you can give away free applications when working with developers, a free eBook copy if you created one on your blog, and more.
Get a Calendar
Our last tip is to get a calendar. Why? By far, the best way to keep and gain new audiences is to provide steady content. This doesn’t mean having to break your back with getting a new article out everyday. However, staying consistent and providing a new article three times a week can help you gain your audience back. You can spend a mundane period of your weekend to plan out some of your posts, and possibly have some prepared in Microsoft Word or as drafts in WordPress that you can publish on a later date. As a teacher of mine always said, “Work smarter, not harder”. If you have the time to get things done ahead of time now, why wait?

Working smart will save a lot of time and energy but it more often than not, can be reached after we work hard and are skillful. So sometime the two things are interrelated.
