The Xiaomi Yeelight JIAOYUE YLXD02YL 650 is the most expensive and the largest ceiling light in the lineup. It has the diameter of 650mm as compared to 450mm and 480mm of smaller versions. As compared to the Yeelight YLXD01YL with the diameter of 320mm, this one is huge as the lighting surface is significantly larger.
Notably, there is an RGB light strip on the back which acts as an ambient light. After setting up with the Yeelight app, you can adjust both the main light and the ambient light. Moreover, we can add the Yeelight to Google Home and adjust both of the lights. Specifically, you can use your voice to adjust brightness and color temperature of the main light, and change color of the ambient light. The RGB ambient light can display 1,600 million colors, so you can easily choose a suitable color for your mood.
The lighting is mesmerizing; I feel so satisfied and peaceful when looking at the starry shade and ambient light. You can set up the light in your living room or bedroom, it will definitely wow your visitors or your kids when they see the beautiful light. The suggested room size is 20 square meters or 218 square feet.
The reason I chose this JIAOYUE light is that it supports Google Home natively. Apart from controlling the lighting with my voice, I can also set up to turn in on/off automatically when I come back or leave home. This is so convenient and I don’t need to use the included remote control at all.
The only concern is that the light is not as bright as I expected. It has the same maximum brightness of 2,000 lumens as my smaller ceiling lights, therefore, I still need to use another lamp for reading.
The Xiaomi Yeelight JIAOYUE YLXD02YL 650 is expensive but it’s totally worth it. We at TechWalls highly recommend the product.
